Brady's grandfather passed away last week so we've spent a lot of time with his family these past four days. We attended the wake on Wednesday and the funeral on Thursday. We chose to spend the rest of the weekend in Iowa City with the entire family.
Friday night we tried out a new restaurant in Coralville called 30hop. It's now our new favorite. It had rustic, industrial decor with a rooftop patio that included three fire pits. Plus, the food and drinks were great!
Nothing better than a GT in front of the fire. |

Saturday was the Iowa vs. Iowa State game! A huge rivalry for those of you not from Iowa. Colin and Caitlin went to game while Brady and I strolled through the drunken streets of Iowa City. It was nice to be back on campus as an alumni. We grabbed lunch from the Bread Garden and ate on the Old Capital steps whilst people-watching and chatting. We drove back to Ames Saturday night to celebrate the big Cyclone win with his parents and brother.
