Cabo

We took a 10-day family vacation to Cabo at the beginning of June. We contemplated taking a trip without Evie, but I'm so glad she came with us! She loved it! She walked around the resort waving to people and saying "Hola!"
We stayed near the marina, which was great because we were able to walk to a nearby beach and stroll along the marina for shopping and restaurants. However, we spent the majority of our time at the resort. Our mornings were spent playing on the beach, then Evie would take a nap and each lunch, then we would spend the rest of the day at the pool.

Evie loved the water. She had a little too much confidence😂 She kept jumping in the water to swim after me while I was doing laps. Brady had to stay by the ledge to catch her. Evie and I practice bobbing under water and blowing bubbles. She could swim a few feet by the time we left.

Weekend Update

Mother's Day turned into a full weekend celebration and I loved every minute.

For starters, Brady woke up with Evie every day🙌 This mama got to sleep in Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday. It was lovely.

I had Friday off. Brady took Evie to daycare so I could have the day to myself. It was so nice to get things done around the house without any distractions. I deep cleaned the entire condo and ironed all my delicates. Then Brady picked me up in the afternoon and we went to Boathouse 19 for drinks and apps. It was a great start to the weekend.
We went to Alki Beach on Saturday. We ate lunch at Blue Moon Burgers. Evie finally got comfortable enough to pet a dog! She points to every dog we see on walks (which is a lot), but she's always too afraid to pet them. There was a golden doodle on the patio that was really big, but she liked him! After lunch we walked to the beach and played in the sand.

Brady and Evie went for an early morning run on Sunday. They came back with flowers, coffee, and watermelon. Evie signed scribbled my Mother's Day card and it's the cutest thing. I will keep that card forever. Then we all got ready and went to Gig Harbor for brunch at NetShed No. 9. It was amazing! The patio was perfect and food was delicious.

Beach Getaway

Brady and I are taking a much-needed mini vacation to Santa Barbara this week. We haven't been on a trip since my skiing accident in February. We are beyond excited to get away just the two of us. I'm in full packing mode and here are the first few things I threw in my suitcase...

Beach Day

First day in the Bahamas :)

It will, most certainly, be spent at the beach. I need a little R&R, a GT, a good book (and some color).

Here are my beach essentials...
1 | Mouchette Beach Coverup is lightweight, comfortable and so cute. I love the nautical stripes and the high slits.

2 | Jeepers Peepers Mirror Sunglasses are exactly what I had in mind for this trip. They are perfect and a total steal at $33.

3 | Seea Leucadia Bikini is right up my alley. The stripes and color blocking are cute, but it's also reversible to solid purple.

4 | Independent Reign Tote arrived just in time for this trip. It's large enough to fit everything I need for the beach and lightweight!

5 | All The Light We Cannot See is only available as hardcover. I'll have to be careful with it at the beach, but I'm hoping to finish it on this trip.

6 | DV by Dolce Vita Briza Sandals are a must-have. I borrowed Brie's when I was back in Iowa and knew I had to have a pair for this vacation.
