Weekend Update (Visitors!)

My parents were in town for a long weekend! We hadn't seen them since Christmas, but you would have never known by Evie's reaction... she was so happy, cuddly, and chatty. She wanted to hold their hands and have them carry her everywhere. It was adorable. 

It rained on Friday, but we made the best of it and went to the Museum of Flight. It was pretty cool. They had a WWI and WWII exhibit. You can tour the original Boeing building and actually go inside a few of the planes, including an Air Force One (from the LBJ/Nixon era).

We had much better weather on Saturday and Sunday. We went to Seattle to visit one of our favorite restaurants - Westward. Good food, good atmosphere, great views👌 We hung out at Freemont Brewing afterwards. New favorite brewery! They have a kids area! It's genius. Evie loved it.

We went to Gig Harbor on Sunday. We had brunch at Devoted Kiss Cafe then strolled around the downtown area. Evie walked all over. I can't believe the way this girl is moving. She's very busy these days. Fortunately, her grandpa is patient enough to walk up and down the docks with her😂

Weekend Update

Mom and Dad were in town this weekend!

They arrived Thursday night and spent Friday at the LeMay Car Museum with Brady. It was a request from my dad and he loved it - major car enthusiast. I met up with them on Friday night for a little Christmas shopping. 

We went to Biscuit Bitch on Saturday morning - filled up on biscuits and gravy before hopping on the ferry to spend the day on Bainbridge Island.

Parentals

We wandered around Bainbridge just shopping, eating, and admiring the views. It was freezing cold - we actually saw snow flurries. We would walk for a bit before stopping into a shop or cafe to warm up. We ended the night back in Tacoma. We tried a new restaurants... Stack 571 - great burgers, but the wait time for a table (and our food) was horrendous.

We went for brunch at Montamara Kitchen on Sunday morning - probably my favorite brunch spot in Tacoma. There was a 20 minute wait for our table so we went for a brisk walk along the Puget Sound.

We finally made it to the Museum of Glass on Sunday. This museum is a mile from our condo and we still hadn't been in the past two years. We had the opportunity to watch Nancy Callan make the most amazing glass sculpture. It was mesmerizing to watch - I would highly recommend.
