Whidbey Island

Brie graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School! The fam flew into town to attend the graduation at UW then we went to Whidbey Island for a celebratory weekend. It was great to see family. Evie was obsessed with baby Olivia!

We had two nights in Seattle. We strolled around campus and had some pretty epic brunches at Biscuit Bitch (my dad's favorite😂) and Portage Bay Cafe. We went to The Mountaineering Club for drinks (and dessert) and it was such a good find (by Tyler). The views, drinks, and apple crumble were 🙌

We drove/ferried to Whidbey on Friday after Brie's graduation. There was more brunching (my favorite meal of the day), shopping, and wine tasting! We spontaneously cut Evie's hair on Saturday. She looks so cute with a bob! She was desperate to do everything for Livi... feed bottles/food, push the stroller, help change diapers. Livi is such a champ, she was so chill and totally let Evie play mommy. It was adorable💛

We went back to Seattle on Sunday night and stopped by one of Brady's favorite restaurants, Marination Ma Kai, for dinner and drinks. We ended the trip with family selfie at my mom's request😂 My parents are full of surprises!

 Delicious cocktails! I had a gin sno-cone
Nana bought her a push pop to bribe her into holding hands on the sidewalk (we only make her hold hands in the street and she KNOWS the difference)

Had to get a photo with the UW library in the background! It was stunning

See... holding hands on the sidewalk😂
Holding the bottle by herself just makes her day
End the night with ice cream then get caught in a storm and drop ice cream on the road😣

Weekend Update

We had amazing weather this weekend! Seriously, it felt like spring🙌

The birthday celebration was low-key this year (just the way I like it). Brady got me flowers and my favorite foods... shrimp, lemon cheese and pear cider😋 We put Evie to bed and cozied up for the night. It was great.
Saturday was delightful. I went for a nice, long run. It felt sooo good. The sun was shining, my hip didn't hurt, I was listening to a 2000's playlist👌 Thoroughly enjoyed that one. Then, we intended to go for a walk in town, but found ourselves heading north for Marination Ma Kai😊 We ate kimchi fried rice on the patio. We all loved it, including Evie. Then we walked around West Seattle before heading home.

I have too many of this photos lol

Sunday was also beautiful. We got things done around the house before heading out for a long walk. We came home and went straight to the gym to start BBG week 7👊 Brady does it with me occasionally and we let Evie roam around the gym while we complete the 28-minute workout. It was leg and cardio day... a real burner.

Weekend Update

Amanda came to visit!! We had such a fun weekend, which revolved around eating (then walking off the calories).

We went for sushi on Friday night and didn't hold back - the food coma started early.
Super excited about this
Yum!
Saturday started at Corina Bakery. It's three blocks from our condo and I didn't know it existed until two weeks ago...crazy. We got breakfast sandwiches and chai lattes - certainly didn't disappoint.
Pretty embarrassed I didn't know about this place
Too much choice!
Amanda likes chai :)
We went to Seattle in the afternoon for a bit of shopping and a food tour. I would highly recommend Savor Seattle Food Tours - we did the Pike Place Market Tour, but I would love to try the others. We got donuts, greek yogurt, chowder, mac & cheese, gourmet sandwiches, Filipino food, and crab cakes :)

Amanda liked the Beecher's sign
Crab cakes from Etta's
We also made our own little personal food tour... donuts at Top Pot, pastries at Piroshky Piroshky, fig bars and coconut cream bites at Dahlia Bakery. We ended the night at Marination Ma Kai with the best kimchi fried rice and view of Seattle.
Needed more carbs
Ferris wheel and port view
Slightly obsessed with the lighting in this photo
I love Dahlia Bakery fig bars
We got some sunshine!!

We went to Cafe Brosseau Sunday morning to try matcha lattes. Fortunately, our breakfast paninis were good because matcha lattes are awful! We should have known when the barista described it as "earthy." I had to get a chai latte to get rid of the grassy taste.
Yuck
We went for a long, rainy walk at Chambers Bay before doing a little more shopping at Evolve and Clementine Home. We grabbed a movie and snacks before heading home to warm up.
Rain, rain

Amanda, come back!
