Christmas in Bend

It was a white Christmas in Bend, Oregon🎄

The house that we stayed in was so good

We had a blast skiing, brewery-hopping, and hanging out with the fam. We arrived late on Friday night, but Brady's parents already had a fire roaring. We sat around the fire until the early hours of the morning. 

We explored the breweries of Bend on Saturday. We start at Bend Brewing then 10 Barrel then ended at Crux. I was exhausted (and freezing) by the end of the day. I seriously went to bed at 6 o'clock.

Brady and I went skiing on Sunday! It felt so good! The crisp air and falling snow make me so happy. Brady was a trooper and skied the entire day with me. We actually skied through the park where I had my accident. It was by mistake because we are terrible at looking at the map ahead of time. We just take the lift up and randomly choose which routes to take down. It was a great day.

Christmas Eve was snowy. It was so festive. We wandered around town in the snow. Grabbed coffee and last minute gifts then went home to open presents. Connor stayed back with Evie while Ann, Brady, Colin and I went wine tasting and stopped by McMenamins for a hot toddy before dinner.

Brady and I essentially had a vacation from parenting. Evie is obsessed with her grandparents and uncles. She wanted nothing to do with her parents. It's half hurtful and half amazing. She actually pushed Brady aside and ran to Connor at 10 Barrel Brewing😂

We're off to Bend, Oregon with Brady's family. I'm so excited to have a white Christmas and ski! This will be my first time skiing since my accident in 2016 (post linked here)😬 Seems fitting that the first time back will be at Mt Bachelor...

Weekend Update

This weekend was very similar to last. It was cold and rainy. We still managed to make a few trips to the park. I think Brady and I would lose our minds if we didn't get Evie out of the house each day.

I started working on our 2017 photo album. Why do I always put these off?? It's such a big job and now I'm two years behind😩 I'm determine to get these done before 2019!

New Hair

I usually save the big cuts for spring, but this couldn't wait. My hair was driving my crazy. I'm 7.5 inches lighter and it feels so good! I had forgotten how much I love short hair! My hairdresser was nervous about this cut... she asked if I was sure about a dozen times😂

Weekend Update

It was a cold and rainy weekend. I wrapped presents and binge-watching season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Weekend Update

It was a cold weekend, but not cold enough to keep us away from the park. This has seriously become priority #1. A busy toddler needs outdoor playtime... for the parent's sake😜. This weekend was like any other... walks, nonstop coloring, meal-prepping, cleaning. I'm almost done Christmas shopping, but now I have to start wrapping. I'm nervous to put any gifts under the tree. Evie will definitely tear into them!
