Weekend Update

Finally, a good summery weekend at home! Summer in the PNW has been unseasonably cold and cloudy. We're finally hitting our stride in the warmth and sunshine🙌

We took advantage of the weather with a couple trips to the pool and we visited the Point Defiance Zoo. We met Tim, Kara, and Sydney at the pool on Sunday. It was so cute to see Evie and Syd play together. They even shared a popsicle and held hands💛

We also attempted an intensive potty training day on Saturday. Evie  did really well at the zoo, but she had three accidents at home. It's a work in progress!

Weekend Update

I was sick this weekend😷 I picked up a bug on the flight from Montana so this was a really low-key weekend for me. Fortunately, Brady and Evie are still healthy. They had a great weekend... park, beach, pool. I slept and watched Netflix on the nicest weekend we've had this summer😒 I ventured out on Saturday night for drinks with friends, but it probably wasn't a very good idea because I felt terrible on Sunday again.

Ballet Flats

If you've seen any of my weekly wardrobe posts then you know I live in ballet flats. I'm always on the hunt for new styles and colors, but comfort is most important! I have Rothy's, which are great (I own three pairs). I also have Birdies loafers, Tory Burch Minnie flats, and Kate Spade Willa flats. I've been searching for classic black flats and I finally found a great pair! The brand is Anniel and I found them on Tuckernuck. They fit my wide feet and have a cushioned sole. They're 100% leather and will go with everything!

Weekend Update

We went to the cabin this weekend and it was 👌

Blair and Evie are at the cutest stage to enjoy all the beach activities. They loved the boat, digging in the sand, turning rocks to find crabbies and shells. It's weekends like this that make me appreciate living in the PNW so much more.

It was overcast, but the sun came out while the girls were napping. We enjoyed some drinks, took the boat to the Olympia farmer's market for lunch, played on the beach and I got my baby fix with Lucy!

We're heading to cabin for a weekend with Brent, Molly, and the girls! I just realized this has become a tradition for us. This will be our fourth year at the cabin for the 4th of July weekend! A trip down memory lane...

Good Stuff

All the cozy and comfy things...

Vuori joggers are the most expensive sweatpants I own, but they're so worth it. They're the perfect length (26" inseam) to show a little ankle. They're stretchy and comfortable. They keep their shape all day. I really want to try other Vuori items!

Saucony no-show socks are the best and I've tried ~6 different kinds of no-show socks. These stay in place, they're cushioned on the bottom, and they cover enough of my foot on top. These Adidas socks are a runner up, but they're really thin. I didn't like Smartwool or Eedor.

Dagne Dover Hunter toiletry bag is my catch-all bag. It's big enough to carry everything I like to keep on hand. The neoprene material is soft and easy to clean. It comes with the two smaller pouches, which I love. Brady liked it so much, he bought one too.

Lululemon Ever Essentials bralette and underwear are soo comfortable. They really feel like you're wearing nothing. This is what I sleep in and wear on the weekends. The bralette is currently on sale!

Where the Crawdads Sing is the best book I've read this year. It took awhile to get into it, but I was hooked about halfway through and had to stay up super late to finish it on Saturday night. The next book club read is Educated.

Weekend Update

It was the best kind of summer weekend... playdates, pool, park, popsicles! Times have definitely changed for this to be my favorite kind of weekend😂 It makes me happy to see Evie so happy!
