Weekend Update

Thirty is killing me! I have hand, foot, and mouth😩

Evie had a temp of 102° last week. She recovered quickly after a couple doses of ibuprofen and we didn't figure out the cause of the fever until... I got the 102° fever on Friday. It took over 12 hours for my fever to break and I had a terribly sore throat. On Saturday, I was feeling a bit better so I got the bright idea to rent a vacuum steamer and deep clean the entire condo to get rid of all the germs. In addition to going to Home Depot for the steamer rental, I stopped by HomeGoods and Trader Joe's😬 What was I thinking?! I guess, at this point I was feeling better and really didn't think I was contagious. 

However, I still wasn't feeling well on Sunday. I had lesions erupt around my mouth and I finally looked at my throat with a mirror and found it covered in blisters. Now I know... it's HFM and Evie already had it last year so her infection never fully developed. My hands and feet are just starting to get sore😒 

I felt terrible for Evie when she had HFM. It took well over one week for her to get better. I'm hoping my recovery will be quicker, but I'm not optimistic b/c what 30-year-old gets HFM?!

Side note: I dyed my lashes and brows (at home) last weekend and I'm loving the results

Weekend Update

This was a rough birthday. Thirty is not treating me well...

I was sick all weekend. I don't know what happened to my immune system, but I had a terrible virus in November, December and now January. I started feeling better on Monday, but I have absolutely nothing to show for this weekend. The weather was amazing, which makes it even worse. The only thing I accomplished was binge-watching The Americans.

I only took two pictures this weekend and the other had terrible lighting. Such a fail.

Friday

It's been a rough week...

Evie has hand, foot, and mouth😩 Her fever last weekend was just the start. Then she developed a rash on her chin. Her cheeks and tongue were extremely swollen. Next, the rash spread to her hands and bottom. Lastly, it hit her feet. She wasn't able to wear shoes for two days because the blisters were so painful. It was heartbreaking to watch her suffer all week. 

The only time she was happy was in the bathtub so I extended bathtime the past two nights. That was a bad idea... Evie pooped in the tub the first night and peed on the bathroom floor after I took her out the second night.

Needless to say, wine and online shopping were necessary. Banana Republic is having a great sale. I bought a few basics - cardigans, tanks, tees, and a pair of chinos. I also got a new pair of Allbirds.

Weekend Update

I spent this weekend past week with a cold. Sick + pregnant is a bad combination. It has taken so much longer to recover, but I finally feel like I'm on the mend. I only left the condo for a walk on Sunday. I spent the majority of the weekend snuggled on the couch or in my rocking chair.

Brady had a very productive weekend. He finished all our little household projects. Things are coming together for baby :)
