Good Stuff

Autumn Harvest candle from Target has been mentioned on this blog before, but every year I'm reminded how good it smells. I usually buy Sweater Weather and Autumn from Bath & Body Works, but I actually prefer this scent even more. Give it a sniff next time you're strolling through Target!
Kung Fu Girl Riesling has also been featured on the blog, but I'm still drinking it and still loving it! This is my go-to wine. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It tastes good at room temp or chilled. I'm always thrilled when I find it on menus (especially when we're out of state).
Champion canvas tote is a new purchase from Nordstrom and it's so worth the $40! I'm a tote kinda gal since becoming a mom. I used to always wear small, crossbody bags. Now, I need space for snacks, wipes, and a spare outfit (hello, potty training!). I'm at the in-between stage where I don't need a full diaper bag, but I need to carry more than just my stuff. This is the perfect size. I used it every single day on our trip to Paris & London.
I've been updating my playlists. I have two that continuously work on - one called 'hype' and one called 'calm.' My current favorite is the calm playlist and these are the songs I go to first...

Weekend Update

Apologies for being MIA last week. Work is really getting in the way of this little blog... and my Instagram, which has been completely neglected for nearly a month. The horror.

Rewind to last Wednesday. Molly and I had the day off so we went wine tasting in Woodinville. It was so much fun, but definitely proved how little I know about wine. The guy working at the winery had us play a little game where we had to describe the smell and taste of each wine and then guess what it was... We got every one wrong and sounded like idiots trying to think of adjectives. It was still really fun!
Rainy day, but so pretty with all the lights
This place was extremely festive
A little geography (and wine) lesson

A little bubbly
I had to work this weekend, but Brice and Connor were in town so we had some quality family time. Brady thoroughly enjoyed having his dad and brother here. I made a few appearances for dinner on Friday and Saturday, but let them have their fun. I think they visited each brew pub in the area... multiple times. They also got in a round of golf at Cambers Bay (where the U.S. Open will be next year) and explored the touristy parts of Seattle.
Friday OOTN
The boys at Duke's Chowder House... the hostess thought we were crazy when we asked if we could have our drinks outside. Only Iowans think 50 degrees is warm.
This weekend was full of clam chowder and oysters
Dessert (for me), the boys opted for IPA's
A map of all the breweries in the U.S. The Boone Valley Brew Pub was on the map!
View of the Puget Sound from the Sky Lounge in our building
Saturday OOTN
Cozied up by the fire on Sunday night to watch Harry Potter :)
I started to feel a bit ill Sunday. I've been hitting the tea and ibuprofen hard.
