Good Stuff

Autumn Harvest candle from Target has been mentioned on this blog before, but every year I'm reminded how good it smells. I usually buy Sweater Weather and Autumn from Bath & Body Works, but I actually prefer this scent even more. Give it a sniff next time you're strolling through Target!
Kung Fu Girl Riesling has also been featured on the blog, but I'm still drinking it and still loving it! This is my go-to wine. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It tastes good at room temp or chilled. I'm always thrilled when I find it on menus (especially when we're out of state).
Champion canvas tote is a new purchase from Nordstrom and it's so worth the $40! I'm a tote kinda gal since becoming a mom. I used to always wear small, crossbody bags. Now, I need space for snacks, wipes, and a spare outfit (hello, potty training!). I'm at the in-between stage where I don't need a full diaper bag, but I need to carry more than just my stuff. This is the perfect size. I used it every single day on our trip to Paris & London.
I've been updating my playlists. I have two that continuously work on - one called 'hype' and one called 'calm.' My current favorite is the calm playlist and these are the songs I go to first...

Weekend Update

Brie was in town this weekend! This makes me so happy!! I miss her so much, but every time we're together it's like we've never been apart. I love that about sisters!💛

I picked her up from UW campus on Friday night. We went to Bottlehouse for apps and drinks while we waited for traffic to lighten up. The weather, rosé, and patio were great! Then we drove back to Tacoma and went to Wooden City for a late dinner and more drinks😊

We went to Bumbershoot on Saturday. I've been wanting to visit this Labor Day festival since we moved here 5 years ago! We didn't like the alcohol situation because you couldn't carry your drink throughout the festival grounds. We had to be in a beer garden. Fortunately, there was a beer garden in the crowd section at the ARIZONA concert. We had to sneak a few drinks into The Lumineers😬 Both bands were amazing to hear live! Brady and I saw The Lumineers a few years ago (posted here) and they were just as good this time around!!
 Cheers!
 ARIZONA was soo good
 Brie liked the Rainier beer
 I love sister time!
 Everyone getting that insta content
 Chillin on the grass
 Antisocial
 Good vibes
 The Lumineers sound better live
I love that millenials will take your picture and switch to portrait mode when it looks better😂
 Every song is a hit

Good Stuff

I had quite a bit of time on my hands in February. Here's how I spent the past month...

I became obsessed with Bohemian Rhapsody (and so did my mom). We bought it on Amazon Prime and I've watched it five times. I don't think I've ever been this enthralled with a movie. Now I can't stop listening to Queen music. Such a great band and movie. I'm so glad Rami Malek won best actor.
I also got into a couple podcasts. I always struggle to find ones that keep my attention. I end up losing interest after a few episodes. The Drop-Out and Over My Dead Body are (completely different) true stories that keep me coming back each week.
Lastly, a few new albums I've had on repeat... Ariana Grande, Tall Heights, and Maggie Rogers. Something for every mood between these three artists.

Good Stuff

A few new discoveries this month that I'm loving...

After seeing everyone rave about the most comfortable sneakers ever, I had to try them. Here are my new Allbirds Loungers. They are incredibly comfortable.
Brady got the new Starbucks Coconut Cold Brew and ended up hating it. However, it's quickly become my go-to order! I'm trying to recreate it at home, but it doesn't taste the same.
I've always been a body butter girl, but I was tempted by this JR Watkins Body Oil at Target and now I'm a convert. It's so hydrating and takes half the time to rub in!
AppleMusic is introducing me to lots of new music. My current playlist is 👌 and nothing makes me happier. Bleachers is one of my favorites at the moment.

Weekend Update

This weekend was the epitome of summer.

We went to The Lumineer's concert at Marymoor Park on Friday night. The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful, and the band put on an amazing show. It was everything I had imagined of a PNW outdoor concert.
First things first
Soaking up the sun
So so good
Lights everywhere
Festival vibes
Date night
Sooo many people
We spent Saturday and Sunday at Brent and Molly's family cabin. We took the boat from Tacoma to Olympia, which is always a fun way to travel. We were outside the entire weekend - boating, paddle boarding, swimming, playing games. It was a good time. Nothing beats cabin time...
Sailboats!!
The boys
My partner in crime
Cheers to a great weekend
Group selfie (boys not participating)
Manual labor
Blackjack, poker, Uno, dominos
Dinnertime pano
This partnership was a fail. Funny, but fail

On My Mind

1 | There are so many good tunes for summer right now. I've had these three on repeat the past couple of weeks. I'm currently working on my summer playlist and nothing excites me more! You just can't beat a good playlist...
Roses by The Chainsmokers, Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande, Middle by DJ Snake
2 | Have you used Amazon Prime Pantry yet? I just got my first delivery yesterday. I stocked up on everything... cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toothpaste, peanut butter, Smartfood popcorn (our favorite). One less errand to run each week. I'm a convert.
3 | I just finished season 2 of The Affair (after binge watching for 2 consecutive weeks) and I cannot wait for season 3. I have a newfound love for Joshua Jackson. I think I may rewatch Dawson's Creek just to get my fix until season 3 premieres :)
4 | Surgery is scheduled. I'm having a hip arthroscopy in three weeks. I have mixed feelings about this... I want to fix my hip asap and feel normal again, but I'm absolutely dreading surgery. This better be the last round of weekly doctor appointments, crutches, physical therapy.
Another day, another view from an ortho office
