Weekend Update

We had Brie in town this weekend! 

Evie and I went to UW on Friday afternoon to pick her up. We strolled the beautiful campus and soaked up the sunshine. Then we grabbed dinner and went shopping at U Village.

We had a lot of errands to run on Saturday, but we managed to squeeze in coffee at Bluebeard and happy hour at Rhein Haus.

I drove Brie back to UW on Sunday. The rest of the day was low-key... gym, meal prep, walk. This was Evie's first time in the stroller without her carseat. It's much lighter, but she's growing up too fast.

Six Months

Six months in the blink of an eye...

Each month becomes my new favorite and this month has been no exception. 

Evie started sleeping through the night which helped tremendously. She goes to bed at 7 PM and wakes around 7 AM. We had a few wake-ups two weeks ago when she was sick, but overall she's doing great. The only bummer is I still need to get up in the night to pump😒

This girl is loving baby food! We've gradually increased to eating three meals daily. She loves to eat... she gets upset when her meal is over. Oddly enough, she prefers vegetables over fruits. She also loves chicken and turkey. So far, sweet potatoes, carrots, and peas are favorites. Pears and apples are the least favorite (but she'll still eat them).

She is getting so close to sitting independently. She can do it for about a minutes before toppling over. She also looks like she's preparing to crawl😩 She hasn't figured out how to get on all fours (thankfully), but she pushes her butt in the air and moves her legs around. Then, she gets frustrated that she's not moving - it's really entertaining to watch.

Evie loves long walks and people-watching. She gets excited when we put her in the carseat because it usually means we're going for a walk. She's the happiest when she wakes up in the morning and when she's getting a bath at night. She's a smiley girl - she will smile at anyone who smiles at her. I love seeing her little personality develop! 

I can't believe she's six-months-old! Having Evie has made me much more present. I'm trying to embrace each day and soak up all the Evie-time I can get💛

Family Photos

Family photos were on my to-do list since Evie was born. It took five months finally tick this one off the list. 

We had family photos taken in July at Owen Beach. It was the hottest day of the summer. The beach was packed. Plus, Brady and I wore jeans😒  Fortunately, we found a shady spot away from all the people and they turned out so well. Here are our first photos as a family of three...

Weekend Update

We had visitors last week/weekend! 

Dani, Ben and Lauren were in town for a couple days last week! We spent the day in Seattle exploring Pike Place Market. We hit all the hot spots... the original Starbucks, Beecher's, Piroshky Piroshky, Daily Dozen. It was a great day👌

Brie is in Seattle for two weeks for the Pacific Coast Banking School. She arrived Saturday night. We only got to spend Saturday night and Sunday morning together before she had to be at UW campus for registration. We'll get to spend more time together next weekend!

Good Stuff

Saint Laurent Card Holder was a splurge💸 a few months ago, but I justified it because I don't use a purse anymore - just a card holder. It's the perfect size (5 card slots and zip pouch) and easy to throw into the stroller, Evie's diaper bag, my work bag.

Bath & Body Works Fall Candles are back! I told myself I wouldn't burn them until September, but I couldn't resist. Autumn and Sweater Weather are my favorites. I had Autumn burning all day yesterday and it put me in the best mood!

By Terry Cellularose CC Lumi Serum (Sunny Flash) is like summer in a bottle - it's warm and radiant. I don't wear foundation, but this serum with a little concealer is a winning combo. It makes me look like I've just been to the beach👌 

Yogi Spiced Berry Immune Support Tea with a good book is my favorite part of the evening. Evie and I seem to pass viruses back and forth to each other so I need all the immune support I can get. Plus, it's caffeine-free and tastes great!

Weekend Update

Evie has been fighting a cold and (another) viral rash so we kept things low key.

I had Friday off. The morning was full of errands, but I did get my hair done which felt great. We went for a walk in the afternoon and stopped by Rhein Haus for happy hour on the patio.

Saturday and Sunday were pretty similar - long walks, gym time, movies, playing with Ev. It's nice to get everything done on Friday so I can thoroughly enjoy the weekend.
