Good Stuff

A few new discoveries this month that I'm loving...

After seeing everyone rave about the most comfortable sneakers ever, I had to try them. Here are my new Allbirds Loungers. They are incredibly comfortable.
Brady got the new Starbucks Coconut Cold Brew and ended up hating it. However, it's quickly become my go-to order! I'm trying to recreate it at home, but it doesn't taste the same.
I've always been a body butter girl, but I was tempted by this JR Watkins Body Oil at Target and now I'm a convert. It's so hydrating and takes half the time to rub in!
AppleMusic is introducing me to lots of new music. My current playlist is ๐Ÿ‘Œ and nothing makes me happier. Bleachers is one of my favorites at the moment.

Weekend Update

We had the best weather on Friday. It's been a long winter and it was so nice to get warmth and sunshine. Unfortunately, it quickly turned back to cold and rainy๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Molly and I took the girls for a long walk and had lunch on Duke's patio. It was glorious.
We found where all the moms hang out
These girls loved the walk
Winning
This little angel slept through lunch
This one did not
Telling Dad about her week
Then back out for another walk
The majority was Saturday was spent in jammies. We hung out with Brent, Molly, and Blair in the afternoon. Evie missed her bestie!
Saturday morning naps
BFFs
These chicks are ready for summer
Sunday was a repeat of Saturday. The weather was dreary... another day spent in jammies, watching movies, and lounging around the house.

Tulip Festival

We went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival on Saturday and it was stunning

The drive was long... really long. We hit a lot of traffic and it ended up taking three hours to get there (with only one Starbucks break). Thankfully, Evie travels really well. She didn't seem to mind the car journey.

The sunshine, warm weather, and amazing views made up for the long drive. We strolled through the fields and took waaay too many photos. There are 25 acres of tulip fields and 22 acres of daffodil fields... there's a lot to see.

Two Months

My girl is two-months-old!
The second month was much more fun than the first. I think we're starting to get the hang of this parenting thing. We had no clue what we were doing the first month!

Evie went on her first vacation to Southern California. I was nervous about flying, but she did so well on both flights - pretty much slept through all of it. She was great the entire vacation. We carried on with our usual vacation activities - brunch, hiking, walking, shopping and Evie was a rockstar.

She started sleeping a five hour stretch at night (as of last week). The rest of the night is back to three hours, but we're making progress! She still loves bath time and hates tummy time. We're trying to work on tummy time, but it's so hard to force her on her belly when you know she'll cry.

Evie has a new love for long walks in her stroller. She doesn't have any issues with her carseat after we took the infant insert out๐Ÿ™Œ We just got a new jogging stroller this week and we're loving it.

She is starting to coo and recognize Brady and I. She's always full of smiles, but her resting face is a furrowed brow, just like her Dad. She hates when Brady kisses her (scratchy beard) and she will instantly start pouting and whimpering. It's the cutest thing. He does it to her at least five times a day.

Weekend Update

Brady was in Oregon for work last week. It was my first week alone with Evie. It went well but we were happy to have him home on Friday!

The weather hasn't been great. It still feels like winter in the PNW. Everything is blooming, but it's still pretty chilly and rainy. We spent the weekend watching movies, eating sushi take-out, and enjoying long walks.
Exciting mail! New bow from Dani๐Ÿ˜Š
Flower from my mother-in-law for surviving my solo week with Evie
Friday night dinner - salmon salad and sweet potatoes
Saturday morning snuggles while watching the news
The reason my coffee is always cold
Saturday night dinner - sushi!
Ready to walk
Things are looking springy

March Favorites

Beauty
1 | NARS Matte Multiple (Vientiane) is back in rotation for Spring and Summer. I switched out my powder bronzer and blush for the cream versions. I forgot how much I like this bronzer - it's the perfect shade and looks so natural. It's also really soft and easy to blend. I blend with a brush, but fingers or a sponge work just as well.

2 | MAC Cream Color Base (Hush) was recently in a favorites post, but it's so good I had to mention it again. Hands down, favorite highlight. It's glowy and radiant, yet natural. I've noticed it's best when blended with fingertips.

3 | Olay Total Effects Moisturizer smells of sunscreen and I love it (definitely not fragrance free like it says on the bottle). It's a great moisturizer with anti-aging properties and SPF15, but my favorite part is the scent. I think sunscreen will always be one of my favorite smells.

4 | Caudalie Grape Water is refreshing and energizing. It's a very fine mist, but leaves my skin feeling hydrated - great for traveling to the desert. I imagine it's just like the Evian Water Spray, although I haven't tried that one.

5 | Banana Boat Sunless Tanning Lotion is an old favorite. I always go back to this lotion, especially in Spring/Summer. It leaves the perfect glow - never streaky or patchy. This helped me bare my pale legs in California.

Fashion
1 | Longchamp Le Pliage Neo Tote was a lifesaver in California. I never found a diaper bag I liked so didn't end up getting one. I had been using my Lo & Sons OMG Bag, but didn't want to take on our trip so this tote doubled as my handbag and diaper bag. It was perfect! Great size and easy to clean.

2 | Birkenstock Gizeh Sandals were another California staple. I was nervous about wearing flip-flops on this trip - we did a lot of walking and I always get blisters when I wear flip-flops for the first time of the season. These were great! No blisters and I wore them every. single. day.

3 | GAP Long Sleeve Tees are essential. They are so soft and stretchy. I bought them in the tall size, but they are super long and I probably would have been okay ordering the regular size. They're currently on sale and I'm going to get a few more.

4 | Merona Drawstring Shorts were purchased because my shorts still don't fit ๐Ÿ˜’. I was upset I had buy these, but they are actually really comfortable and keep their shape. I wore them several days in San Diego and they didn't get stretched out.

5 | Gilligan & O'Malley Nursing Tanks are the best nursing tanks I've found (and I've tried a lot). They're long, soft, comfortable, and easy to unhook (one-handed). My sister gave me one and I bought two more. I want all the colors.

Miscellaneous
1 | Ferie and Fray Honey Sea Salt Soy Candle smells amazing. I got it from a local shop when my mom was in town - she got the same scent and loves it too. It actually reminds me of Bath & Body Works Endless Weekend, which I burned constantly last summer.

2 | Method Lime and Sea Salt Dish Soap has a pump, which I never realized I needed until I started washing bottles and pumping supplies (with a million parts) multiple times a day. I really love this scent too! (Random favorite, I know)

3 | Covered Goods Nursing/Carseat Cover is so versatile - carseat cover, nursing cover, and makeshift burp cloth when you forget to pack one (oops). On that note, it washes really well. It's super soft and doesn't pill. It comes in a lot cute colors and designs.

4 | Coffee Mate Almond Milk Creamer is spicing up my decaf coffee. I inadvertently gave up dairy - my only source of dairy was greek yogurt during my pregnancy and it doesn't sound good anymore. Evie's pediatrician recommended giving up dairy to reduce spit-up (hasn't worked yet) so now I'm mindfully avoiding dairy and I don't miss it - this creamer is amazing! I like vanilla and hazelnut!

5 | Billions is my latest obsession. Brady introduced me to it. We binge-watched this series throughout March and now we have to watch it one episode each week like normal people... very annoying.
