Boston, MA

We're back from Massachusetts!

We visited Boston, Nantucket, & Martha's Vineyard. I'll do separate posts for each city, otherwise this would go on forever. First up... Boston!

We only had one day to explore Boston, but I loved it. The weather was great and the city is beautiful. We started at Beacon Hill, where we were surrounded by brownstones and American flags. The city just felt patriotic. We had brunch at Tatte Cafe, which was delicious. Then, we strolled through the nearby neighborhoods. Of course, I had to gets pics on Acorn Street with everyone else😊

Then we walked Boston Common and the Freedom Trail. We got in a lot of steps. The history of the city was fascinating. I should have definitely brushed up on my knowledge of the Revolutionary War. We had to stop and read every sign along the Freedom Trail. We tried to get Evie to fall asleep in her stroller the entire day, but it was a struggle. She finally fell asleep when we got to the car and drove south to catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard.

I should also mention the travel. It wasn't great😒 We had a 5.5 hour direct flight to (and from) Boston. We had a completely full flight on the way there so Evie was on our laps. She had an epic meltdown for about 30 minutes. I felt awful, but everyone around us was really nice. Our flight home was not full so Evie got her own seat. I honestly don't know how much this helped. She didn't do much better. She is incapable of sleeping when there are any distractions. She seriously took a 30 minute nap on each flight. Our (Alaska) flight attendants were amazing. They actually walked Evie up and down the aisles (I did this as well) and brought her snacks and toys. The lady across the aisle even held Evie for a good 45 minutes. She obviously still has no stranger-danger.
