Ten Days in Paris & London

I'm in Paris with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law!

Brady and I decided to do some separate trips so we can continue traveling without the stress of figuring out childcare. It's so much work to take Evie back to Iowa to stay with grandparents. It just makes the trips longer, more expensive, and less enjoyable. When she's older, we will take her with us, but for now we're trying this new system. Brady is going to Thailand for two weeks in November with his brother. Ann, Caitlin and I are spending five days in Paris and five days in London.

Here's what I packed for our trip...

Bottoms

Plus the obvious... travel adapter, toiletries, chargers, etc.

Current Skincare

I am into my skincare routine right now!

I definitely don't want to add up the cost, but this regimen is working so well for me. I'm still searching for a retinol cream, but the micellar water, Dr. Dennis Gross pads and Drunk Elephant Babyfacial have made such a noticeable difference in my complexion. I only use the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial once weekly and I use the GloPRO every other day. All the other products are daily/nightly.

Current Makeup

I spent way too much money during the Sephora and Dermstore sales. I've noticed a switch the past 1-2 years. Now, I invest way more in skin/body/hair care than makeup. My daily staples are concealer, cream blush, and mascara on work days. Sometimes I add bronzer, powder, and/or eyeliner. On the weekends, I don't wear any makeup. If you want to wear less makeup, then tint your brows and lashes! It's a game changer.

I'm very loyal to my BareMinerals concealer and Perricone MD blush, but I switch up mascara every couple months. My favorite mascaras (that I actually repurchase) are Diorshow Iconic Overcurl, Lancome Hypnose, Lancome Definicils, Estee Lauder Sumptuous, Tarte Gifted. I always have several back-ups!

Weekend Update

This weekend looked a lot like last, but we had playdates with all of Evie's friends!

We went to Molly's on Friday. The weather was great so the girls played outside. Evie obsessed over all Blair's toys and kept asking to take them home😂 Also, Blair is a genius. This girl can SPELL her name! Several months ago she was able to identify every single letter of the alphabet, but now she can put them together and legit spell! I'm so proud of this literary wizard! I've told everyone I know about this because it's so impressive and Molly isn't showing her off enough lol

They took turns pushing each other
Saturday morning has become mommy time and I love it! Evie and I went to the gym, soccer practice, and the mall. Evie and Annabelle just run and laugh the entire time! It's really cute. We can already see progress in their "skills" since last week. They did much better with not using their hands.
 Look! No hands!
 So many hugs💛
We always have a few hours to kill on Saturday afternoon between naptime and dinnertime. It was so nice to go to 7 Seas with Tim, Kara, and Syd during this time. Ev and Syd colored, shared snacks, watched Peppa Pig, ran all over the brewery while us parents enjoyed 🍺🍺🍺 It was a win for everyone.
I can't remember what they found so funny

Breakfast Lately

Breakfast food is my favorite! Honestly, cereal is my all-time favorite food and I used to eat it every morning for breakfast. Now I save it for a treat (or lazy dinner).

These days, I like to eat more fiber in the morning. I've been making overnight oats the past two years and I must say I've perfected this recipe. Evie wakes up requesting "eat-a-mall" every morning. I recently discover cinnamon raisin ezekiel bread at Trader Joe's and it is 💣 Also, do yourself a favor and add some protein shake to your coffee! I linked my brand-loyal items.
 Winning combo!
My oatmeal partner!

Weekend Update

We had such a nice weekend at home! It was the perfect mix of activities and chill time...

Evie and I ran errands and hit the gym Saturday morning before her first soccer practice. I had really low expectations for two-year-old soccer, but it's soo good. For starters, she's doing it with her best friend which thrills her. Plus, it's good exercise (the kids are seriously running the entire 30 minutes) and fresh air. I think I enjoyed it just as much as Evie.
Twenty minutes into practice and all the kids are dying lol
These two have the cutest friendship
 Hands in!
 Evie cheating lol
After her nap, we went to Point Ruston for the afternoon. We played at the park. Grabbed a late coffee and lunch then went back to park😂
 Helping daddy
Evie pretends to kick me while swinging and she finds it hilarious
 Cuties
They have the same furrowed brow
 Spotted an airplane!
I was trying to get a photo of her playing in the water and she suddenly started pulling her pants down to go potty😂
These little green platforms moved and she was all about it
Each time she got to the end she yelled "I did it" then...
...jumped into our arms for the biggest hug! I love this age so much
Brady took Evie to the gym and park on Sunday while I meal-prepped, finished laundry, and worked out.
I can't believe the water is still on at the park

Whidbey Island

Brie graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School! The fam flew into town to attend the graduation at UW then we went to Whidbey Island for a celebratory weekend. It was great to see family. Evie was obsessed with baby Olivia!

We had two nights in Seattle. We strolled around campus and had some pretty epic brunches at Biscuit Bitch (my dad's favorite😂) and Portage Bay Cafe. We went to The Mountaineering Club for drinks (and dessert) and it was such a good find (by Tyler). The views, drinks, and apple crumble were 🙌

We drove/ferried to Whidbey on Friday after Brie's graduation. There was more brunching (my favorite meal of the day), shopping, and wine tasting! We spontaneously cut Evie's hair on Saturday. She looks so cute with a bob! She was desperate to do everything for Livi... feed bottles/food, push the stroller, help change diapers. Livi is such a champ, she was so chill and totally let Evie play mommy. It was adorable💛

We went back to Seattle on Sunday night and stopped by one of Brady's favorite restaurants, Marination Ma Kai, for dinner and drinks. We ended the trip with family selfie at my mom's request😂 My parents are full of surprises!
Debating on whether UW or ISU has a prettier campus
 The Mountaineering Club view!
 Delicious cocktails! I had a gin sno-cone
Nana bought her a push pop to bribe her into holding hands on the sidewalk (we only make her hold hands in the street and she KNOWS the difference)

 The graduate!
Had to get a photo with the UW library in the background! It was stunning
