Through Brady's Eyes

Whilst browsing through iPhoto I came across Brady's pictures from all of his Washington adventures. He hasn't started working yet (Monday is the big day) so he's spent a lot of time exploring- namely the mountains and coast.

Here's what he's been up to...
Featured locations:
Ocean Shores, WA

Stocking Stuffers

My sisters and I always exchange small gifts around $25. I thought I would offer them a few hints :) and also give everyone some ideas for stocking stuffer/small gifts. Here are a few items I would love...

I have lots of keys to keep track of now. I'm lazy and can't be bothered to dig for my keys. I think this is a great size- small enough to fit everywhere, but large enough to easily grab in an overstuffed purse.
Brie and I were in The Body Shop a few weeks ago and both loved this scent. It wasn't apart of the sale so we opted for the Glazed Apple (which is incredible), but I still want this scent!
I've been lusting after Fresh Sugar balms for months. They have a few gift sets available, but I love this limited edition shade. Just enough color that can be worn daily.

I went through many of these candles last year. I'm anxious to repurchase this one and get into the holiday spirit. These candles also makes great hostess gifts!
Unfortunately, The 1975 weren't selling merchandise when Brady and I saw them in concert in September. We were both pretty bummed. I would love anything from their little store, but this beanie is super cute.

Etsy Wall Decor

The walls over here are pretty bare.

I brought a few of my favorite pieces, but that won't get us far in this place. Here are a a few items I've been considering...

This would be perfect for my little den. I want a cozy little area to sit in my rocking chair and read books/listen to music. This is exactly the look I'm going for. Plus, chemistry has always been my favorite subject so it's very fitting.
I love watercolor paintings. A trio of small sea life paintings would be so cute- definitely something I couldn't pull off in Iowa. The red would really pop against all of my neutral home decor.
A large statement piece, but subtle enough to fit in any space. I think this would be great in our living room. It's perfect for the warm tones in our condo. I really like the pale blue and red in the painting.
A friendly little reminder that is perfect for any space. I think this would be cute in our entryway. I love the text font and simple design. If you can't tell I'm pretty boring when it comes to wall decor.
This would also be great in the entryway. I definitely want to start keep fresh flowers in the house. This is a cute and original way to display them.

A good mix of things here, but my taste is quite eclectic.

Weekend Update

We are no longer homeless!

We moved in late Friday night. We were up until 3 AM moving and unpacking. This was actually my first time in the condo. I had seen photos, but let Brady make the decision when he viewed it a couple weeks ago.
Love this shower! It's gigantic
They left us a bottle of wine... so sweet
Hot tub on the top floor that opens up to the outdoors
Night view of the Puget Sound
This was not fun.

We woke up (surprisingly) early on Saturday. We went out for breakfast and explored the new neighborhood. It’s so nice to be within walking distance of coffee shops and restaurants. After a bit more unpacking we went furniture shopping, but didn’t buy anything. I went out for sushi with a few co-workers Saturday night. For anyone living in the area- go to Koharu in Federal Way for amazing sushi.

Sunday was also spent furniture shopping. We ended up with a new sofa and dining set. I’m still on the hunt for a couple accent chairs, an area rug, and some wall décor.
My new car! Acura ILX :)
I really love this side table
Brady was over it
