Good Stuff

Evie (and I) love this Water Wow Coloring Book by Melissa & Doug! It keeps her occupied for a solid 10 minutes, which is huge. It's reusable, no mess, and only $5. We have two, but I'm tempted to get another. This is my most highly recommended toy (in addition to these $4 stacking cups).
My Keurig broke a couple months ago. I was annoyed that I had to resort to using my french press, but now I actually prefer it. It doesn't take that much longer, I can still make a single serving size, and the coffee just tastes better. Bluebeard is one of my favorite local roasters.
I've running a lot lately. It feels good to be back! This has been my first time consistently running since my skiing accident two years ago👊 Good music has definitely helped to increase my mileage (and text messages from Brie and my dad). Here's the best of the playlist...

Weekend Update

We had a great MDW!

We spent Saturday at South Lake Union. First, we walked around the marina while Evie napped in the stroller. Then, we went to The White Swan Public House for drinks and apps on the patio. We followed that with our favorite brewery, Fremont Brewing. The most kid-friendly place ever.
 Lovely day for a stroll
 Lots of kayaker and paddleboarders
 Wood boat show
 Watching seaplanes take off
 Sleepy baby
 More wood boats

Evie wasn't afraid of the Alaskan Malamute
We stayed home on Sunday. We went for a family run in the morning. Thankfully, Brady is always willing to push the stroller. We finished our run at Ruston and played on the beach with Evie. The weather was perfect and there is nothing Evie loves more than getting dirty😜 Monday was pretty much a repeat of Sunday. Lots of family time💛

Friday

Yay for a three-day weekend!
Patriotic vibes at the cabin last weekend
Flower game is strong in the PNW
Waving bye-bye to a doggy
We don't have any plans for the holiday weekend, but the weather looks promising! Brady wants to hike, but I strained my neck earlier this week😩 I don't know what caused it, but I woke up on Sunday and could barely move. It was so painful. It hurt just to breathe. I got injections in my neck/back on Monday and I've been using a muscle relaxer all week. I'm feeling better, just old😒

Weekend Update

We had a super fun Saturday with Brent, Molly and Blair at the cabin! The weather was strange. It was really warm and sunny. Then, it turned cloudy and overcast while the girls were napping... just our luck😒 It never actually rained and the sun actually came back out in time for a beautiful sunset.

The girls had a great time playing in the baby pool and kayaking with the guys. Evie got in and out of the baby pool approximately 50 times. The act of stepping in and out must be pretty fun. The parents enjoyed good food, drinks, and views👌

Sunday was more low-key, but I finally increase my running mileage👊 I ran 3 miles on Saturday then Brie texted me saying she ran 4.5 miles so I had to run 4.5 miles on Sunday! My dad, Brie and I have a group text to share all our running stats. It's serious motivation.
 Loves the slide!

Weekend Update

Mother's Day turned into a full weekend celebration and I loved every minute.

For starters, Brady woke up with Evie every day🙌 This mama got to sleep in Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday. It was lovely.

I had Friday off. Brady took Evie to daycare so I could have the day to myself. It was so nice to get things done around the house without any distractions. I deep cleaned the entire condo and ironed all my delicates. Then Brady picked me up in the afternoon and we went to Boathouse 19 for drinks and apps. It was a great start to the weekend.
We went to Alki Beach on Saturday. We ate lunch at Blue Moon Burgers. Evie finally got comfortable enough to pet a dog! She points to every dog we see on walks (which is a lot), but she's always too afraid to pet them. There was a golden doodle on the patio that was really big, but she liked him! After lunch we walked to the beach and played in the sand.

Brady and Evie went for an early morning run on Sunday. They came back with flowers, coffee, and watermelon. Evie signed scribbled my Mother's Day card and it's the cutest thing. I will keep that card forever. Then we all got ready and went to Gig Harbor for brunch at NetShed No. 9. It was amazing! The patio was perfect and food was delicious.
