July Favorites

Beauty
1 | LORAC Unzipped Palette doesn't get enough love. Everyone obsesses over the LORAC Pro Palette, but this palette has the same great shadow consistency and all the shades are perfection.

2 | Sephora Bronzer Brush was previously my foundation brush, but it's been the best brush for blending cream bronzer and blush. Its dense and extra soft. Plus, I love the short handle.

3 | Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge (Pale Pink) is my favorite summertime
blush. It's extremely pigmented and easily blended. It lasts forever, which is essential this summer with the extreme temperatures.

4 | NARS Matte Multiple (Vientiane) goes with the Bobbi Brown cream blush. I only use it for bronzing (temples, hairline, cheekbones)- not contouring. It leaves a warm, glowy sun-kissed look.

5 | Trish McEvoy Lash Curling Mascara has a different consistency than any other mascara I've tried. It's a dry formula, but has such a big payoff. The length and volume are amazing. However, it is difficult to remove.

Fashion
1 | Tory Burch Flats (similar) were nearly given away last month because they were so uncomfortable. However, I pushed through and started breaking them in. They're much better now and I love this neutral color.

2 | David Lerner Tee is the best tee. It's lightweight, but not sheer. It's a great V-neck shape. It's also really long. I want to buy multiples of each color, but the $75 price tag keeps me in check.

3 | Shinola Wristlet is made of the softest leather. I got the navy color with silver hardware. It looks sharp and holds all the essentials. It's made for the iPhone 5, but I can still squeeze in the 6.

4 | Madewell Cardholder (similar) holds my (most used) cards and cash. I just toss it in whichever bag I'm using for the day. It also fits in my wristlet. Bonus- it has my monogram :)

5 | GAP Perforated Midi Skirt was an impulse buy when GAP was having a crazy sale. It ended up being $15! I think it goes well with everything. Dress it up or down.

Miscellaneous
1 | The Body Shop Moringa Scent is fresh, floral, and warm. I used this body butter last year in the Bahamas and now it reminds me of the trip (which I love).

2 | The Honest Company Hand Sanitizer Spray is a handbag staple. It so much better than gel- no filmy residue. It also smells like vanilla. Well done, Jessica Alba.

3 | Essie 'Smokin Hot' isn't the typical summer shade, but it's a year-rounder in my book. Even Brady complimented this color, which is shocking since he only tends to like pink and red.

4 | It's Complicated is back into rotation. I watched it twice this month :) It's such a fun, uplifting movie. Great for summer and decor/style inspiration.

5 | Bark Thins are a great treat. Any dark chocolate is good with me, but the peppermint flavor is my favorite. Currently on sale at Target!

Three Minute Makeup

I've had to wake up way to early for work lately. I take every shortcut possible in the morning to allow a few extra minutes of sleep. My makeup routine has been condensed to a just few minutes and here are the essential steps...
This is a step I'll always make time for. There's nothing worse than oily eyelids throughout the day.
I have to cover up those dark circles after too little sleep.
Hands down, my all-time favorite mascara. Early morning is not the time to experiment with new makeup.
A swipe of this brow gel adds a little more definition and keeps my brows in place.
I light mist of this setting spray and I'm done!

Weekend Update

Another chill weekend for Brady and I. Lots of shopping, eating, and relaxing...

We tried Top of Tacoma on Friday night. The food was so good! The best mac & cheese I've ever had. Then, we stopped by Stadium Thriftway for snacks (and beer for Brady) and went home to watch a movie.
Saturday started off with a walk around town. We stopped for Starbucks and donuts. I didn't feel well during the afternoon, but rallied for a little shopping trip in the evening. We ended the night with pizza and another movie.
This little park is 3 blocks from our place and I had never noticed it
Yum!
Sunday was rainy. We ran stairs in the afternoon, but ended up walking home in the rain. I quickly got into my PJ's and watched It's Complicated while painting my nails :) We ended the weekend with a nice, long walk.
This is the "stadium stairs look"... dread and uncertainty
I got my Bondi man! I can't wait to put him in my car
Pretty flowers (and sky) during our walk

Essentials

This all started with my need to have eye drops at all times... seriously, every year I go to the optometrist and tell them I have chronic dry eye and every time they tell me I'm crazy... smh.

I started keeping my eye care products (eye drops, contact case, contact solution, glasses) in a cosmetic bag. I gradually started adding things that I would find myself searching for throughout the day. Now, I have my complete survival kit.
This bag is the perfect size. Compact, but holds everything.
Hand sanitizer spray is sooo much better than gel. It doesn't leave a sticky residue.
Can't leave home without ibuprofen. I refill this little bottle every week.
Mini Altoids
Visine Drops
iPhone headphones
Ibuprofen
Contact Case and Solution

What's In My Amazon Cart?

A lot of randomness...

I mentioned I wanted one of these when Sean and Amanda were visiting. The next week I had a gift card from her to pick out my favorite color! She's the best :) but also the cause of this full cart.
I think I blogged about this bag last year. It's still catching my eye! It's the perfect size and I love the two straps. New Fall bag? I think admiring it a year later justifies the purchase.
3 | Babe Lash
Mine ran out long ago and I've had this sitting in my cart for months. It's pricey (which is the reason I've got without), but it actually works! My lashes just aren't the same without it.
I've been lusting after these for awhile. I realize I'm late to this one, but they're so cute. Plus, they get great reviews. Apparently they're pretty comfy.
I'm trying to use up my current shampoo (Alterna Bamboo Volumzing), but it's a struggle. It leaves my hair too smooth and fine. I can't work with it. I didn't realize L'Occitane made shampoo... I'm intrigued.
I don't like what I've heard about this book so far... Atticus Finch racist?! It can't be. I need to find out what this is all about. I hope it doesn't the sway my love for To Kill A Mockingbird
It's so difficult to find Jouer products. I want everything! YouTubers are always raving about their face products. I've actually been looking for a new powder highlight, but this blush was too pretty to pass on.
