Weekend Update

This was my pamper weekend...

I had a prenatal massage on Saturday morning (thanks to my sister, Amanda!) followed by a pedicure. I also had a brow and last tint on Sunday😊 I'm pretty much just doing anything that will distract me from thinking about delivery.
My favorite breakfast
Dreaming of summer with this shade
We went shopping Saturday afternoon and picked up a few last-minute things for baby - extra changing pad, carseat rain cover (definitely necessary this time of year), and closet organizational baskets. After shopping, we went to Capitol Hill for bibimbap at BlueStone - it was delicious!
He's so thrilled to be in The Container Store
This was amazing!
The rest of the weekend was pretty chill. We went for a long walk, deep cleaned the condo (again), worked out, and watched a couple movies.
Gym session - elliptical, TUI 5 daily moves, SAG red carpet
Post-work out smoothie that matched my nails... it's the little things

Weekend Update

I imagine this is what the next three weekends will look like...

Sleep is not coming easily so I've been spending a lot of time napping and relaxing. I'm also getting really anxious about the delivery so I'm trying to distract myself with things like cleaning, organizing, online shopping, Netflix.

I have seriously cleaned out every closet, drawer, and cabinet in our condo. I'm trying to get my to-do list completely checked off before baby arrives. This must be the nesting phase...
One of my online purchases. Breville Milk Frother is worth every penny (recommended by my mother-in-law)
Brady's pour-over
(Decaf) coffee, banana and protein shake at 6 AM when I can't sleep
Elliptical and TIU Daily Moves
Sunset walk along the Sound

Bump Day

36 Weeks...
Weight gain:
32 lbs.

Symptoms:
Hip pain is still (by far) my biggest complaint. I had two weeks that were unbearable, but it's gotten a little better - I can walk normally again. I've also been fatigued. It's not like the first trimester, but I feel physically and mentally drained by the end of the day. Braxton Hicks contractions have started. I usually get a few each day.

Cravings/Aversions:
I'm loving clementines right now! Everything else in my diet is the same. I have noticed that I'm eating more. I'm hungry every couple hours - I bring a bag full of snacks to work, but try to keep it healthy with lots of fruits and vegetables.

Maternity Clothes:
Definitely not buying anymore maternity clothes, but I am looking for nursing bras/tanks. I ordered a couple different options - Bravado and Cake. They are expensive, but I'll be wearing them for awhile and these brands had great reviews.

Exercise:
No change... consistently 30 minutes x 4 days a week with a combination of elliptical, stationary bike, free weights. Motivation is lacking, but I've made a few rules... I never miss a Sunday or Monday and never go more than two days without a workout.

Sleep:
Most nights are bad. I slept well on Saturday night and woke up Sunday in the best mood. I had forgotten how good it feels to sleep through the night. I think the pregnancy pillow is helping, but I'm still uncomfortable and often wake in the middle of the night wide awake for some reason.

Weekend Update

A much-needed weekend at home...

We had four consecutive weekends of traveling/visitors - which we love, but we really needed to get shiz done with my due date quickly approaching.

My 28th birthday was a far cry from my 27th (blog post linked here). This year was very quiet and exactly what I needed. Brady got me a coffee-themed birthday gift - french press, coffee grinder, and pour-over coffee maker. We enjoyed the french press this weekend.

Baby's glider arrived Friday and I'm obsessed. We moved some furniture around to make it fit and now our condo finally feels complete. I spent Saturday deep-cleaning and getting ready for baby. Brady installed the car seat bases, I packed our hospital bag, finished our 2016 photo book, and made a few last-minute purchases for labor/delivery. We went for a few walks, but I kept getting Braxton Hicks which was annoying.
Corina Bakery never disappoints
Sushi in the new glider = perfect Friday night
When you struggle to reach your toes...
Gorgeous weekend
Typical breakfast of oatmeal and clementines
Clean house and sunshine makes me happy
French pressing on Sunday morning
Best way to start the day

Weekend Update

Brady's mom and brother were here for the weekend!

We went out for dinner and drinks on Friday night. We went to The Matador for the first time in years and it was so good. We filled up on nachos (which they're known for)... then struggled eat our entrees.
They look so much alike in this photo
Saturday was cold and snowy. We made the best of it by going cross-country skiing at Mt. Rainer. It was a long drive, but definitely worth it. I'm so surprised by how much I enjoy cross-country skiing! Plus, the views at Mt. Rainer are incredible this time of year.

Took off the skis for a little hike
Icy drive
The BEST pie I've ever had - it was blackberry and delicious
Brady, Colin and Ann went out in Seattle on Saturday night. I was exhausted and opted to go to bed early. They found an amazing sushi spot (which I still don't know the name of) and went to Flatstick Pub for drinks and mini golf.
Sunday was spent in Seattle. We talked about shopping, but only ended up at restaurants and bars (surprise, surprise). We went to Mammoth for lunch/brunch sandwiches - highly recommended! Then, drinks and bocce ball at Rhein Haus.
