Bump Day

24 Weeks...
Weight gain:
16 lbs.

Symptoms:
Overall, feeling great! The second trimester glory was slow to arrive (around week 19-20 for me), but the last month has been good. I have my energy back and feel like myself again.

Cravings/Aversions:
No real cravings or aversions lately. I've gone back to my pre-pregnancy diet for the most part. I am loving BoomChickaPop Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn, apples, Honey Nut Cheerios, arugula, and peppermint tea.

Maternity Clothes:
I only have two pairs of maternity pants, but they are in high demand these days. I need to get a couple more pairs. It's getting a bit cold to wear dresses without tights, which is another item on my shopping list... good maternity tights.

Exercise:
I've been pretty consistent with working out 3-4 days each week. I prefer cardio, but usually make one of those workouts strength training. I'm still doing my YouTube pregnancy yoga

Sleep:
Still sleeping well (on back/side) and hoping it lasts!

Special Moments:
Brady felt the baby move the first time :) He was shocked by how big the kicks were.

Weekend Update

It was a weekend of life admin...

We went to a movie on Friday night for the first time in ages. We saw The Accountant (Brady's choice, obviously). I actually liked it more than I had expected - there's actually a plot rather than nonstop shooting.
Date night
The essentials
Saturday started with a long morning walk. Then I went to the salon to get my hair colored and left Brady to put the crib together :) We went to Gig Harbor for some baby shopping, but the store closed right before we got there. Parenting fail. We grabbed a coffee and walked around the waterfront before heading home.
These colors!
Brady's favorite part of our walk
I prepped it for Brady lol
Numb bum
Gig Harbor
Stopped by Tacoma Boys for a couple pumpkins
Sunday was an entire day of cleaning, organizing, arranging (then rearranging). I woke up feeling really anxious... like the baby was arriving tomorrow. I feel better after getting things started, but there's still so much to do!

Maui

Aloha!

We had an amazing co-babymoon with Brent and Molly. Molly is due eight days before me (crazing timing) - it's so fun to have your best friend pregnant at the same time. I would highly recommend :) We stayed at Honua Kai on Kaanapali Beach in a two-bedroom suite, which was so nice (and bigger than our condo). It was a beautiful resort and great location!

The necessities
We spent a lot of time on the beach (Kaanapali, Black Rock, Wilea, DT Fleming) snorkeling and playing in the waves. I was disappointed that I couldn't dive, but I did get to snorkel with a hawksbill turtle :) and Brady did a solo dive at the Molokini Crater.

DT Fleming was my favorite beach
Stalking every lifeguard when we visit beaches - this one was my fave
So jealous of Brady's dive :(

Trip made!
We ventured North to the Nakalele Blowhole for a little hike. The drive there was crazy - the road was cliffside with hairpin turns. Thankfully, no one got sick and the views made up for the scary car ride. Everything is so lush and vibrant!
My view for car journey... at least the boys were in the back
Stunning

One of my all-time favorite views

Loving life in this moment
We spent most mornings at Whaler Village getting our frozen coffee fix. We spent most nights at Lahaina eating, drinking (for the boys), and shopping.
