Day-To-Night

I always feel disgusting after a full day of work. My hair is flat and lifeless. My makeup has either rubbed off or is incredibly greasy... it's not a good look. I have a few products that are real life-savers if I need to revamp quickly for an evening out.

Here are my go-to products to make me presentable...
I like to add a bit under the eyes and touch up any areas of redness
A dusting of powder through the T-zone and over the eyelids
I always add a little eyeliner to the top and bottom lash line for an evening look
This step is crucial! It brings life back to my face after a draining day
A given for me- it's refreshing and keeps everything in place through the night
Nothing give my hair more texture or volume than sea salt spray
A touchable hold that enhances that texture and volume from the sea salt spray
8 | Perfume
I'm returning to my spring/summer scents- Peony & Blush Suede and Nirvana White

Cannon Beach & Portland

A 3-day weekend in Oregon was the best idea! I initially suggested Portland, but Brady quickly added on Seaside and Cannon Beach (that boy loves to drive).

We left early Friday morning so we could make it to Seaside, OR around noon. We ate lunch, checked out the beach, and looked around a few shops before heading on to Cannon Beach.

It was only about 15-20 minutes to get to Cannon Beach, but it was such a different atmosphere! One of the cutest towns I've ever seen.  The houses were incredible- they were all a similar shingle style, but with unique designs. The downtown area was full of breweries, coffee shops, and galleries, and gift shops. We spent a lot of time admiring the views and walking along the beach. The only downside was the weather. It was awfully windy and misty.

We left around 4 pm to drive the 90 minutes to Portland. When we arrived at the hotel we quickly got ready and headed out to explore the city. It's so close to Seattle, but completely different- a younger crowd, more industrial, and much more walkable. We ate at Rogue Brewery and had the best pizza. Obviously, Voodoo Doughnuts had to be desert. We ended the night with a little night cap at Bailey's Taproom.

Doughnuts and cider = happy
We spent Saturday morning wandering around the city... Case Study coffee shop, Powell's Books, Lardo's sandwiches, and a little shopping. Then, we got in the car to go check out the Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls- so picturesque! The waterfall was breathtaking.

We drove back to Portland for one last night on the town. We strolled along the riverwalk, popped in a few shops, ate dinner at Pazzo (amazing seafood risotto), and ended it all with Voodoo... again.

Sunday morning we went out for breakfast at Kenny and Zuke's. I made a few final purchases (I had to take advantage of no sales tax!) and then we hit the road.
We had such a great time! Oregon gets an A+ from this girl!
