Face Of The Week

I have not deviated from this makeup look all week.

I purchased Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue last week and I've used it every single day since. It's very sheer, but provides a natural, glowy finish that stays surprisingly matte throughout the day. My only concern is that I may have gotten a shade too light. I have Vanilla and I think I'm going to return it for Buttercream or Suede.

Here's my daily routine...

A great moisturizer for oily skin that also doubles as a primer.
A tinted moisturizer/BB cream for a healthy glow.
A lighter alternative to concealer that works well to cover under eye  circles and dark spots.
An absolute essential whenever I'm leaving house.
A light dusting of powder down my T-zone, but this also doubles as my eyeshadow.
The best color for day-to-day wear. Slight definition without being too dark.
The mother of all mascaras. I can't stop recommending this mascara to everyone I know.

8 | Benefit Gimme Brow
The quickest and easiest way to fill in and set your brows.
9 | L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray
A setting spray that feels great and makes your makeup last. Invigorating and practical.
I've been embracing my paleness- no bronzer, no blush.

February Favorites

Beauty
1 | L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray is my finishing touch. I don't leave home without a few sprays. It's my favorite step and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

2 | Elizabeth and James Nirvana White is back in my life. I've been switching up my fragrance more frequently (after using Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt exclusively for the past 3 months) and I find myself gravitating towards this one, especially for Spring.

3 | Revlon ColorStay Nail Polish is so good! I only have two shades, but they're both fantastic. They apply evenly and last for ages. Plus, you can't beat the price (nearly half of OPI). I need to stock up on a few lighter, pastel colors.

4 | NARS Sheer Matte Foundation has been my base of choice. I used to wear concealer, but foundation is so much more lightweight. Now, I just wear a little foundation under my eyes and on any red spots.

5 | La Roche-Posay Moisturizer has a gel-like consistency. It feels like a moisturizer/primer hybrid. It's a little pricey, but works so well at keeping a matte finish throughout the day.

Fashion
1 | Bobbi Brown Eyeglasses have gotten a lot of wear this month. I have such dry eyes. I am constantly instilling eye drops; plus I use eye ointment every night before bed. I don't know what's going on, but it's been helpful to give my eyes a rest from contact lenses.

2 | Lululemon Crop Tights have been in rotation this month. The weather is warming up and I'm getting back into running. I actually found a few good running routes in our neighborhood that make it easier to get out of the house and actually enjoy a run.

3 | Tieks flats are amazing. I'm seriously considering purging my closet of my other flats. I wore a pair of Tory Burch flats last week and nearly died. My feet were killing me all day. They're a bit plain, but definitely worth the money!

4 | Hayden Cashmere Sweater is my all-time favorite sweater. It's incredibly soft and maintains it's shape. The label says dry clean only, but I've been washing it in the delicate cycle and it's still in great condition.

5 | TNA Jupiter Pants have forever changed my thoughts on loungewear. A year ago I would have said $50 sweatpants is crazy. Now, I'm a believer. Don't waste your money on cheap sweats- they're worth it!

Miscellaneous
1 | The Good Wife is a serious obsession. I just started watching a couple weeks ago and I'm nearly finished with season 2. This is what I look forward to when I get off work!

2 | Bath & Body Works Renew & Refresh candle smells heavily. Apparently it's quite popular. When I purchase it the woman working behind the counter told me that they have trouble keeping this scent in stock. If your local Bath & Body Works has the scent go give it a sniff!

3 | Thin Mints appeared at our house earlier this week. Brady is to blame for this one. Who buys Girl Scout cookies when we will be in bathing suits in two weeks!? Of course, I have no self-control and I'm nearly through an entire box already.

4 | Soap & Glory Body Butter has replaced my body butters from The Body Shop. I was ready for a change after using the same scents from The Body Shop for an entire year. I love the marshmallow smell of Soap & Glory!

5 | Bumble and Bumble Dry Spun Finishing Spray is a dry shampoo/texturizing spray that improves any hair style. It creates volume like no other product I've tried. Bonus- it smells great!

Spring Hair

My hair is driving me crazy.

I've been Pinteresting for inspiration. I still can't decide whether to stay blonde or go a bit darker, but I definitely need a good 6 inches chopped.
I think this will become an annual event... like a Spring cleanse. Here was my hair last April after ridding 7 inches.

Weekend Update

I had a great (long) weekend with my parents in town!

We started off the visit with a trip to Seattle on Thursday. Brady had to work; but Mom, Dad, and I fit in all the touristy activities... Pike's Place Market, Space Needle, Ferris Wheel. We met up with Brady for dinner at Harmon Tap.
The cutest book shop
Mom and Dad loved the creative lights as much as I do
Flowers lining the streets :)
Stocking up on fresh fruit
First time going up to the top

Dad and I had a vest thing going all weekend
Harmon salads are the best
Dad and Brady golfed at Chamber's Bay on Friday morning while Mom and I went to 50 Shades of Grey and did a bit of shopping. We bought matching sunglasses :) #twinning. We met up with the boys for lunch at Boathouse 19 and then a little walk through Point Defiance Park.
Round 2 for me
Clams at Boathouse 19 twice in one week
Walk along the Sound at Point Defiance
We had some amazing weather on Saturday! Dad and I went for a run along the Puget Sound. Then, we got lunch at Duke's Chowder House with Mom and Brady. We spent the afternoon on boat tour of Tacoma. It was a gorgeous day... so much blue!
