Coveting {Baby Edition}

1 | I am most excited about the stroller and carseat! I was torn between Nuna and UPPAbaby, but after testing them out over the weekend we've decided on UPPAbaby. The Cruz stroller and Mesa carseat to be exact.
2 | I've been browsing cribs for a couple months and I keep coming back to the Pottery Barn Kendall Crib. I haven't decided on a color, but I really like the simple design. It's also a great price point (currently on sale).
3 | My sister raves about the DockATot. I had heard a lot about it and apparently it's worth the hype! I will definitely be purchasing one of these. There's nothing I want more than a baby who sleeps through the night :)
4 | Finding the right diaper bag is going to be tricky. I know I want a backpack, but I haven't found the perfect one yet. I'm very particular about the style and functionality. Right now I'm leaning towards the SkipHop 'Forma' bag

Bump Day

20 Weeks...
Weight gain:
13 lbs. I gained 3 lbs in one week... yikes.

Symptoms:
The migraines are less severe and the nosebleeds are less frequent so things are looking up. I actually feel somewhat normal most days. The hip pain is more problematic, as expected, with the more weight I gain. I'm just much slower with everything (walking, standing. etc).

Cravings/Aversions:
Chocolate Malt-O-Meal :) Random, but I am obsessed. I have made this nearly every day for the past week and it's so good. Also, I've been loving tea - I look forward to my cranberry spice every morning and mint every night. My breakfast of choice is Honey Nut Cheerios with banana and tea. At work I snack on carrots, grapes, apples, string cheese, triscuit crackers (and drink lots of water). I tend to have pasta or Malt-O-Meal for dinner.

Maternity Clothes:
I don't know how I'll ever wear normal pants again. Maternity pants are so much better. I love my GAP pants. I tried to buy a second pair for the past three weeks and now they removed them from the site... sad times. I also just got this pair from DL1961. They are equally comfortable and I love the inserts, rather than a panel. I pair these pants with lots of maternity tops and cardigans.

Exercise:
Still not motivated. Shocking, I know. I've been working out twice a week, which is pathetic since we're leaving for Hawaii in one week. I really wanted to be one of those fit pregnant ladies, but I'm too lazy, hungry, and full of excuses. I'll be chilling on the beach in my mom cover-up (and probably eating).

Sleep:
Sleeping well! Knock on wood. My OB told me to stop worrying about sleeping on my side - I would know if I was compressing the vena cava - and this has helped so much. I usually start on my side and wake on my back. I'm still getting up once each night to go to the bathroom, but that's way better than 5-6 times.

Special Moments:
A lot more movement :) which I love.

Weekend Update

Hello Autumn :)

It's definitely starting to feel like fall here and I love it.

Brady was sick last week so we took it easy on Friday night - our usual evening walk followed by movie/pizza night.
Friday night football game
Brady says this tree reminds him of the Corona commercials
He was feeling better on Saturday so we spent the day in Seattle. I had a few returns to make and we wanted to do some baby shopping. However, there aren't many baby stores in Seattle and (per usual) our little city outing turned into restaurant hopping. Every time we go to Seattle we spend the entire time eating (with long walks between each eatery).
Brunch was delicious
Browsing the homeware section of Anthro
The flowers downtown are so pretty
Test driving
Finally ate at Serious Pie
... and it was delicious
Such a beautiful day
Dessert, of course
I was exhausted when we got home so I took a nap, made some tea, and read my book. It was a wild Saturday night.
We probably overdid it on Saturday because Brady ended up sleeping most of Sunday. I worked on our 2014 photo book and did some laundry, but Harry Potter was calling my name :)

On My Mind

1 | GAP is, once again, my favorite place to shop. I was obsessed in high school and college, but hadn't really shopped there in the past few years. Then, I got pregnant... and found their baby and maternity sections are so good! Here are few of my recent favorites...

2 | I started making photo books when Brady and I got married. My intention was to make yearbooks for each year of marriage, but I completely slacked off and now need to complete 2014, 2015, and 2016. My goal is to finish these before baby.
I use MyPublisher

3 | I caved into all the hype and watched Stranger Things. I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi, but I got sucked into this show! I was worried it would be too scary (I hate scary movies), but it definitely wasn't. No nightmares her|e. Just sad that it's over.

Weekend Update

We had the laziest weekend.

I had a bad week and I wanted nothing more than to sleep in, watch movies, and read my book. Brady insisted on several walks and a Sunday gym session, but that was the extent of it.
Sudden craving for grapes
Circuits
I love swinging
A beautiful Sunday
Tea, candle, good book. This little plant makes me so happy

Bump Day

18 weeks...
Weight gain:
10 lbs.

Symptoms:
The migraines and nosebleeds are sticking around. I've had two bad migraines in the past two weeks, but Tylenol and ibuprofen have kicked them pretty quickly. There's not much to do about the nosebleeds - just wait it out, but they are more frequent. I get a nosebleed nearly every day, but usually just one each week that's severe. I recently started getting some shortness of breath.

Cravings/Aversions:
The Panera Fuji Apple Chicken Salad was an intense craving last weekend. I made Brady take me to the mall for this salad and it was so good! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I'm also craving pasta and sushi. I've had fried sushi a couple times - it satisfies the craving, but isn't the same. No new aversions.

Maternity Clothes:
I'm still wearing a lot of my regular clothes, but I'm adding in a few maternity items. I've been loving the GAP maternity line, especially these pants and these long-sleeve tees. I need another pair of these pants, but they're always sold out. I've found that I do not like the full panel in maternity pants.

Exercise:
I'm not very motivated, but I've been trying to workout 2-3 times weekly. The only day I'm consistent with is Sunday. We don't have cable anymore, but our gym upstairs has E! and I can watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians :) I'll take any motivation at this point. My hip still hurts so I've been trying to find a good balance between exercise and rest.

Sleep:
I'm not waking up to go to the bathroom as frequently which is so nice. However, I still can't sleep through the night on my side. I've started surrounding myself with pillows to stay propped up on my side, but somehow I always wake on my back and have to force myself onto my side.

Special Moments:

We have our anatomy scan tomorrow!

Weekend Update

We went to the Washington State Fair this weekend! I've had a real craving for corn dogs the past couple weeks so I was overly excited for the fair this year.

Summer weather has returned to the PNW. It was hot and sunny... perfect fair weather. We (mostly I) ate a ton of food, walked around, visited the animals, and did a lot of people-watching. It was a good time, but I was exhausted by the end of the day. I just can't hang anymore (without a nap).
Fair time
First stop of the day :)
The best ice cream. I had to steal a few bites
The group
Fisher scones... Washington fair staple
Didn't expect to see a zebra
The girls (with our bags of scones)
The biggest pumpkin carving
Went to Brent's parents to watch the WSU football game. They have the best backyard

Weekend Update

We enjoyed Labor Day weekend at home this year.

We went to Poulsbo Saturday morning. Brady has been there for work, but it was my first time visiting. Poulsbo has a quaint little downtown area with lots of shops, bakeries, cafes. We grabbed breakfast before wandering around the waterfront and shopping. The weather was dreary - cold and misty - it certainly felt like fall.
I love the muted colors when it's overcast
Walking the marina
Antique shopping!
I left with two items - the Puget Sound sign and oar
The rest of weekend was spent at home. We went for many walks (Brady's favorite pastime), ate too much take-out, and rented movies every night.
Friday night football game
Walks are starting to look autumnal
Beautiful skies this weekend
