What's In My Amazon Cart?

I've become obsessed with Amazon. It's the first place I look for pretty much any purchase. The prices are unbeatable and the shipping is crazy fast. I've purchased things at 10:00 pm and had them arrive the next day at 4:00 pm. Well done, Amazon.

1 | I've meaning to get a backpack for ages. I've accumulated quite a few totes, but sometimes I just don't want to fuss with a tote bag. I  really like the size and shape of the Herschel Supply Co Little America Backpack
2 | I recently found the "Editor's Picks for Best Books of 2014" section and four of my favorite books were on the list. Now I'm anxious to keep working my way through. Next, The Laughing Monsters by Dennis Johnson.
3 | We leave for Iowa tomorrow night and unfortunately it's a red-eye flight. I just placed an order the Travelrest pillow and I'm hoping it arrives in time. This pillow gets some stellar reviews.
4 | I joined a barre studio and now I'm need of new gear... no-slip socks and leggings are at the top of the list. I'm clueless about yoga socks, but Toesox are the brand sold at the studio... never thought I would buy toe socks again.
5 | I needed a stethoscope for work and sure enough Amazon has hundreds of choices. I love one-stop shopping. I just cleared by list with the click of a few buttons.

Whidbey Island

We had the best weekend.

We went to Whidbey Island with Brent and Molly and stayed at his aunt and uncle's house on Useless Bay, which is the most amazing house I've seen. Serious dream house.
We took the ferry over on Friday night. We wasted no time... drinks, games, beach walk. It was a blast!
My first ferry ride... it was chilly
Pretty sweet set-up
Shots
Beach walk!
We woke up surprisingly early on Saturday and went to town for coffee and breakfast. We played a doubles tennis match. Not sure if I should really call it that... we are quite bad and in desperate need of lessons (and a rulebook).
View from bed. Crazy.
Fireplace #1
Fireplace #2
Cozy family room
Exploring Useless Bay... named for it's shallow waters which are useless for large boats
Too much fun playing with all the toys
We spent Saturday afternoon perusing wineries. It was such a beautiful fall day- crisp air and autumnal colors. I know absolutely nothing about wine, but wine tasting is always so much fun (especially with this group)!
Meet Blue, the spoiled dog.
Walking around Langley in search of a Whidbey Island sweatshirt. Found one :)
We went back to the house for more drinks and games :) Pool, ping pong, Settlers of Catan- a given when spending the weekend with Brent and Molly. We ended the night with a beach fire, which was Brady's favorite part!
An endless game
So sad to leave Whidbey Island. It was such a good trip.

I went a little overboard with photos. Here are my favorite scenic shots...
Horseback
Lots of driftwood
Sunny Sunday
Shallow and low tide

New {To Me}

Zella 'Live In' Slim Fit Leggings were actually purchased in August, but I wore them for the first time last weekend so they feel new. I wore them hiking and they held up great. I also packed them for our weekend getaway and they were so comfortable for the long car drive.

Dogeared Makeup Bag is the best quality for such a reasonable price. It's a nice durable canvas (with a good zipper!) and it opens really wide- this is my criteria when it comes to makeup bags. It holds all my junk rather nicely.

Marc by Marc Jacobs New Q Key Pouch has changed my life (dramatic, but true). I have my car keys and condo keys/fobs in here at all time and it has completely eliminated my constant search for keys! Plus the bright color makes it easy to find in my bag.

Tieks Obsidian Black Patent Ballet Flats haven't arrived yet, but I'm so excited! I previously purchased the metallic grey Tieks, but the color just looked weird on my skin tone. I diverted to black, but went with the textured patent leather. Completely different from my first pair :)

BP Stipe Tee is the best layering tee for autumn. Classic stripes, long length, soft cotton... sold. I will warn you it runs small. I had to return the medium for a large and it fits perfectly. Bonus- it is a total bargain at $18.

Spokane, WA & Coeur d'Alene, ID

We made a trip east for the weekend. Brady had already visited the area, but it was my first time (because it's a long, long drive).

We made the 5-hour trek Friday night and got to Spokane just in time for a late dinner at The Wandering Table. The food was unique and delicious. We're really into tapas at the moments... we ordered four dishes and they were all a hit.
Kimchi tacos... Brady's obsessed with anything kimchi
Saturday started with a walk around downtown Spokane. We went to the cutest coffee shop I've ever seen, grabbed some breakfast and took a long walk along the river. It was a warm autumn day, the leaves were falling, the city was clean and quiet... heaven.
Looks like ISU's campanile
Atticus coffee/knick-knack shop
They have everything! Tees, soaps, candles, scarves, stationary. Oh, and coffee.
We spent the afternoon in Coeur d'Alene, ID. We hiked/walked Tubbs Hill trail followed by lunch at Crafted Tap House. Brady has made Crafted the new benchmark for all restaurants... the drinks, the food, the atmosphere, the outdoor patio- all 10's. The only thing missing was a view of the lake. We will certainly be back, but he's desperate to take his dad and brothers there.
A bit dry... Fire risk was still 5/5
Pineapple cider!
This tuna salad was amazing
We went all out
So well maintained
Food coma after lunch
We returned to Spokane for shopping and dinner at Zola, which really consisted of appetizers and desert after having such a big lunch.
Chinese lantern festival
Stopped by Anthropologie
We woke up early on Sunday for coffee then hit the road. It was a long, rainy drive through the mountains...
