Palm Springs & San Diego

Evie's first vacation!

We spent nine days in Southern California - four days in Palm Springs and five days in San Diego. We had a great time! It was a good mix of exploration and relaxation.

Disclaimer: I always take a ton of photos on trips, but it has doubled now that we have Evie...
Palm Springs was warm and sunny every day. We took advantage of all the touristy sites since it was our first time visiting. We went to the Indian Canyons to visit the Palms Oasis. I was in awe. I have never seen anything like it... mountains, desert, creeks, palm trees all in one place. Crazy.
Can't believe this place is real
Stunning views everywhere you look

This happened 😳... and we quickly turned around

We also took the tram to Mt. San Jacinto Park - elevation 8,500 feet! It's pretty amazing to see snow in the middle of the desert. The views were incredible!

Evie got to see snow for the first time... she didn't care
Didn't expect this in Palm Springs

The rest of our time in Palm Springs was spent at the pool and wandering around the downtown area. A lot of cute shops and restaurants. I definitely want to go back!
If only a carseat would fit...

San Diego was a bit cooler, but we lucked out with sunshine every day. We spent some time with Brady's bother, Connor, who lives in Coronado. We went to the San Diego Zoo, which was a lot of fun. I hadn't been to a zoo in ages!

We spent a morning in La Jolla shopping, eating, and enjoying the views before heading to Torrey Pines for an afternoon walk.

We wandered around Coronado for an entire day. Seriously, the cutest little island! I'm so jealous Connor gets to live there!
I'll take it!

Balboa Park was our last excursion. The most picturesque park I've ever been too. The landscape and architecture were incredible.
Visit a park... find the bar. This is how we vaca

The evenings were spent finding new restaurants and breweries to visit. Carnitas' Snack Shack was the big winner! The food was great, but the patio was the real standout. Best patio Brady's ever been too - that was a bold statement.
