Weekend Update

My baby is one-year-old!

I can't believe it. It was the best and fastest year of my life.

We had awful weather this weekend. It was cold, rainy, windy, and even snowed on Sunday. Needless to say, we celebrated Evie's birthday at home. We sang "Happy Birthday" about six times. She got her favorite breakfast, blueberry pancakes. She opened her presents. Then she touched the fireplace glass (while it was on). That is how we ended her first birthday... a burn on her right palm. It's about the size of a nickel and it blistered immediately. We tried wrapping it in gauze a dozen time, but she always managed to get it off. She slept surprising well on Saturday night after the accident. She woke up happy on Sunday and didn't pay any attention to the blister. This is the toughest girl. It didn't slow her down at all. She was crawling, eating, playing with no trouble. She got to enjoy her new toys and birthday cupcake on Sunday.

It's a puzzle!

 Extra caution around hot objects
Bracelets 😂 Can you tell he's a girl dad?
We're off the doctor today for her 12-month check so we'll find out if there's anything else we can do.
