San Diego & Palm Springs

It was a great trip!

Southern California has a special place in our hearts. Our first family vacation with Evie was to San Diego and Palm Springs when she was one-month-old (post linked here)! This trip brought back lots of memories.

We had two days in San Diego. The first day was spent under the sea! Colin had to complete his scuba certification dives so Brady and I tagged along. The water was freezing. I think the dive instructor said it was 53° and we were in wet suits... and mine was too big😒 but it was cool to do a shore dive and we did see some massive crabs and lobsters.
Lets do this

Happy to get out of this cold water

Our second day in San Deigo had a fair amount of patio-hopping. The weather was amazing. There is nothing better than a gin & tonic at the Hotel Del Coronado Sun Deck!

 Evie loves acai bowls lol
 Picking flowers
 Pretty bird
 I love this view
 This one too!

We jumped out of an airplane on Saturday morning😳 We went to Skydive San Diego. Connor did a solo jump, but Brady, Ann, Cait and I did tandem dives. The views were incredible! We ended up queasy afterwards, but I'm glad we did it and I would definitely do it again in a cool location.
Waiting for the wind to calm
 We're ready to jump
We watched the pros first. Their parachutes were tiny.
After skydiving, we drove to Palm Springs! We had four days in the desert. We strolled around downtown, enjoyed drinks on the patios, ate the most amazing brunch at FARM... it was so good, we went twice.
 Beautiful sunset

The restaurants felt like a Nancy Meyer's movie
 Lovely strolls
Had to capture these vibrant flowers

We went to Joshua Tree National Park. Brady and I hiked with his parents while his brothers tried to find a spot to rock climb. The park is 100% rock, but somehow they couldn't find a place to climb😂 Cait stayed home with Evie and played in the pool. Evie loved the pool. She swam every single day.
 Stunning views

Well done with the photos, Cait!

We ended the trip with birthday cake for Evie!
