We spent Christmas in the winter wonderland of Whistler, B.C.
We drove up to Vancouver on Wednesday night so we could get to Whistler as early as possible. We ate breakfast at our favorite spot in Vancouver, The Twisted Fork, then hit the road. We drove the Sea To Sky Highway, which was absolutely stunning.

We arrived in Whistler and hit the slopes immediately... seriously, I got dressed in the car. My tailbone was feeling a bit better so I attempted snowboarding, but instantly regretted it when I got off the chair lift. I was terrified to fall on my bum. I went down a few runs, but then spent a couple hours shopping/eating/drinking while Brady continued skiing.

We checked into the hotel and went to explore the village. I was surprise by how busy it was! Whistler is definitely bustling at Christmas time. The village was picturesque... it belong on a Christmas card. We shopped a bit, went for drinks and ended the night with dinner.

We woke up Christmas morning to sunshine and blue skies! We ate breakfast and wandered around the village. Then, we went for a drive to see a bit more of Whistler. There are the most amazing cottages and cabins in the area. We went on a very long walk. It was so beautiful, but freezing cold! We warmed at the local brew pub and strolled around looking at Christmas lights.

Brady left his phone at Brewhouse and didn't realize it until we were going to bed. We used Find My iPhone and tracked it back to the pub. Late night run in the cold! |
Boxing Day was spent on the slopes. I rented skis and Brady spent the day (patiently) teaching me the basics. It was a long day, but so much fun! We stayed until last chair lift then headed back for shopping (Boxing Day sales!), dinner at Beacon, beavertails at Zog's, and drinks at the Dubh Linn Gate.
