I made a sneaky trip to Iowa for Mira's 1st birthday last weekend :) I still can't believe Brie and I were able to keep it a secret. It was an epic surprise- my mom (and Mira) cried.
I caught the red-eye on Thursday night and arrived early Friday morning. Brie picked me up and we went to her house. She had arranged for a lunch date and shopping with Mom, Amanda, and Mira. I hid upstairs when they arrived at Brie's house and then popped down when Brie texted me. It was so fun!

Mira's birthday party was Saturday afternoon. The weather did not cooperate, but it was still a lot of fun to spend time with family. It was so cute to watch Mira open presents and eat the smash cake. She is adorable!

The fam went to Boone Valley Brewery Saturday night and then came home to watch movies.

Dad and I ran our favorite route Monday morning. Then, I got to spend the day with Mom and Mira. I pretty much just followed Mira around (up and down the stairs multiple times) and danced to Taylor Swift (Mira's favorite).
It's true, there's no place like home...
Sorry, I hadn't realized (until I was writing this post) that 99% of the photos are Mira :) I'm a smitten kitten.
